DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN GUWAHATI (ASSAM)

DAY 2 – GUWAHATI FULL DAY TOUR

  • Kamakhya Temple: Located on Nilachal Hill, Kamakhya is one of India’s most powerful Shakti Peeths. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya — symbol of feminine energy and divine strength.
    Inside the sanctum is a natural cave with a spring-fed holy shrine.
    The hill offers sweeping views of the whole city and the Brahmaputra River.

DAY 4 – SHILLONG → CHERRAPUNJI → SHILLONG

  • Nearby is the Living Root Bridge (Riwai) — a natural bridge made by weaving tree roots over decades.

  • Return to Shillong by evening.

DAY 6 – SHILLONG → KAZIRANGA (ASSAM)

DAY 8 – BHALUKPONG → DIRANG (ARUNACHAL PRADESH)

    • Dirang Monastery

    • Dirang Dzong (stone village)

    • Kiwi & apple farms

    • Snow-capped views in winter

  • The river flowing through the valley adds charm to the landscape.

  • Overnight: Dirang

DAY 9 – DIRANG → TAWANG (ARUNACHAL PRADESH)

  • One of the Most Beautiful Drives in India

  • Sela Pass (13,700 ft): A high-altitude pass often covered in snow. The cold wind, the sparkling lake, and the silent beauty of the mountains create unforgettable memories.

  • Sela Lake (Paradise Lake): A turquoise lake sitting right beside Sela Pass — incredibly scenic and peaceful.

  • Jaswant Garh War Memorial: A memorial dedicated to Rifleman Jaswant Singh who fought bravely in the 1962 war. The army-run café and stories of bravery add emotional value.

  • Arrival in Tawang.

  • Overnight: Tawang

DAY 10 – TAWANG FULL DAY TOUR

  • Tawang Monastery: One of the largest monasteries in India. Painted in red, yellow, and white, it stands high on a hill overlooking the valley. It houses ancient scriptures, huge statues, vibrant prayer halls, and hundreds of monks.

  • Urgeling Monastery: Birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama. A quiet and peaceful prayer spot.

  • Tawang War Memorial: A colorful memorial dedicated to Indian soldiers, offering panoramic views of the valley.

  • Overnight: Tawang

DAY 11 – TAWANG → MADHURI LAKE → BUMLA PASS (Subject to permits)

  • Sangetsar (Madhuri) Lake: A stunning lake surrounded by barren mountains, tree trunks rising from the water, and clear reflections. Named after the filming of the Bollywood movie “Koyla” with Madhuri Dixit.

  • Bumla Pass (Indo-China Border): This high-altitude border area is covered with snow for most of the year. Indian Army checkpoints and the environment give a deep sense of patriotism.

  • Return to Tawang.

  • Overnight: Tawang

DAY 12 – TAWANG → BOMDILA/NAMERI

  • Drive down from the mountains to lower valleys.

  • Bomdila: A quiet hill town with a beautiful monastery and local markets.

  • Nameri: A peaceful forest region known for bird watching and river activities.

  • Overnight: Bomdila / Nameri

DAY 13 – BOMDILA/NAMERI → GUWAHATI → DIMAPUR (NAGALAND)

  • Return to Guwahati and proceed towards Nagaland (flight/train/road depending on plan).

  • Overnight: Dimapur / en route

DAY 14 – DIMAPUR → KOHIMA (NAGALAND)

  • Land of Warriors & Hills: Drive to Kohima, the capital.

  • Kohima War Cemetery: A beautifully maintained cemetery dedicated to WWII soldiers. Green lawns, white crosses, and emotional inscriptions make it a must-visit.

  • Overnight: Kohima

DAY 15 – KOHIMA → KHONOMA / KISAMA → KOHIMA

  • Khonoma Green Village

    • Terraced farming

    • Traditional Naga houses

    • Angami tribal culture

    • Eco-friendly lifestyle

  • Kisama Heritage Village: Famous for the annual Hornbill Festival showcasing all Naga tribes, dances, costumes, food, and crafts.

DAY 16 – KOHIMA → IMPHAL (MANIPUR)

  • A scenic drive full of mountain curves and forest views.

  • Arrive in Imphal, a calm city with warm hospitality.

DAY 17 – IMPHAL → LOKTAK LAKE & MOIRANG → IMPHAL

  • Loktak Lake: The largest freshwater lake in Northeast India. Famous for floating islands called Phumdis. From Sendra viewpoint, the lake looks like a giant painting with islands drifting gently.

  • INA Museum at Moirang: Historic site where the Indian National Army first raised the Indian flag. A place full of emotion and patriotism.

  • Ima Keithel (Mother’s Market): A market run entirely by women — unique in the world. Perfect for traditional Manipuri items.

  • Overnight: Imphal

DAY 18 – IMPHAL → AIZAWL (MIZORAM)

  • Fly or travel via road (based on availability). Arrive in the tranquil hill city of Aizawl.

  • Overnight: Aizawl

DAY 19 – AIZAWL FULL DAY TOUR

  • Solomon’s Temple: A grand, white, hilltop church with stunning architecture.

  • Durtlang Hills: Offers panoramic views of Aizawl spread across the hills like a charming painting.

  • Mizoram State Museum: Showcases tribal costumes, history, crafts, and traditions.

  • Overnight: Aizawl

DAY 20 – AIZAWL → AGARTALA (TRIPURA)

  • Travel to Tripura.

DAY 21 – AGARTALA SIGHTSEEING → DEPARTURE / RETURN

  • Ujjayanta Palace: A magnificent royal palace with white domes and reflection pools. Inside is a beautiful museum showcasing Tripura’s rich history.

  • Neermahal: A lake palace located in the middle of Rudrasagar Lake, built by the royal family. Looks magical during sunset. Depart from Agartala or return to Guwahati.
