GUWAHATII MANSAH TOUR

2 Night/3 Day

Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati – Temples, River Island & Sunset Cruise

  • Arrive in Guwahati, the bustling gateway to Northeast India, where the mighty Brahmaputra River flows through the heart of the city. After a warm welcome and hotel check-in, begin your journey by visiting the sacred Kamakhya Temple, perched on the Nilachal Hills. Known as one of the most powerful Shakti Peeths, the temple is a spiritual landmark with ancient legends, traditional architecture, and breathtaking hilltop views.

  • Next, take a ferry ride to the serene Umananda Temple, located on Peacock Island, believed to be the smallest inhabited river island in the world. The gentle ferry ride across the Brahmaputra creates a peaceful transition from city life to tranquility.

  • In the evening, unwind with a scenic Brahmaputra Sunset Cruise. Enjoy the colors of the sky as they shift to vibrant orange and gold, accompanied by cool river breezes, soothing music, and stunning panoramic views of the city and surrounding hills.

  • Return to your hotel and relax for the night.

  • Overnight stay in Guwahati.

Day 2: Guwahati → Manas National Park – Wilderness & Adventure

  • After breakfast, begin a picturesque drive to Manas National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas. The journey takes you through lush greenery, rural villages, tea gardens, and scenic river views.

  • Upon arrival, check into your jungle resort surrounded by natural beauty and the sounds of the forest.

  • After refreshment, head out for an afternoon Jeep Safari inside the national park. Manas is famous for its rich biodiversity and is home to the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger, endangered One-Horned Rhino, Asiatic Elephants, Wild Buffaloes, Himalayan Black Bear, Clouded Leopard, and vibrant bird species. The landscape is a mix of grasslands, dense forests, riverbeds, and foothills, offering countless opportunities for photography and wildlife spotting.

  • After the safari, you may explore the eco-zone, take a peaceful walk along the riverbank, or visit nearby Bodo tribal villages to learn about local culture and traditions.

  • End the day with relaxation at the resort, listening to the natural sounds of the forest at night.

  • Overnight stay in Manas.

Day 3: Early Morning Safari → Return to Guwahati – Departure

  • Begin the day early with an Elephant Safari (subject to availability) or another round of Jeep Safari. Early morning is the best time to spot rare wildlife and experience the forest in its most peaceful state. Mist-covered grasslands, golden sunlight, and the calls of birds create a magical atmosphere.

  • Return to the resort for breakfast. After check-out, drive back to Guwahati while enjoying scenic views along the way. Upon reaching Guwahati, you will be dropped at the Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.

  • Your short yet memorable wildlife and cultural adventure comes to an end, leaving you with unforgettable experiences of Guwahati’s spiritual charm and the untouched wilderness of Manas National Park.
