Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati – Kamakhya Temple, Umananda & Sunset Cruise

  • Arrive in Guwahati and meet our representative. Transfer to your hotel and freshen up.

  • Start your journey with a visit to Kamakhya Temple, one of India’s major Shaktipeeths located atop Nilachal Hill.

​

  • Experience divine ambience, ancient architecture, and panoramic views of the Brahmaputra River.

​

  • Next, enjoy a scenic ferry ride to Umananda Temple, situated on the tranquil Peacock Island — the smallest inhabited river island in the world.

​

  • In the evening, take a relaxing Brahmaputra Sunset Cruise, where the glowing sky and calm river breeze create a perfect start to your vacation.

​

  • Return to hotel.

​

  • Overnight stay in Guwahati.

Day 2: Guwahati Sightseeing – Culture, Heritage & Local Experiences

  • After breakfast, proceed for a full-day exploration of Guwahati.

​

  • Visit the Assam State Museum, which showcases the region’s history through ancient sculptures, manuscripts, tribal displays, and cultural artifacts.

​

  • Continue to Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, a cultural center preserving Assam’s traditional music, dance, architecture, and handicrafts.

  • In the afternoon, visit Balaji Temple or Basistha Ashram for a peaceful spiritual experience.

  • Evening free for local shopping, cafés, or riverside relaxation.

  • Overnight stay in Guwahati.

Day 3: Guwahati → Shillong – Umiam Lake & Local Tour

  • After breakfast, drive to Shillong — the ‘Scotland of the East.’

  • En route stop at the stunning Umiam Lake (Barapani). Enjoy photography and optional activities like kayaking, boating or zip-lining.

​

  • Arrive in Shillong and check in to your hotel. Later visit:

    • Ward’s Lake – scenic lake with gardens

    • Cathedral Church – one of Meghalaya’s oldest churches

    • Police Bazar – perfect for shopping & local food experiences

  • Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 4: Cherrapunji Day Trip – Waterfalls, Caves & Scenic Beauty

  • After breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Cherrapunji (Sohra).

​

  • Visit:

    • Nohkalikai Falls – India’s tallest plunge waterfall

    • Seven Sisters Falls- iconic cascading waterfalls

    • Mawsmai Cave – illuminated limestone cave with narrow passages

    • Arwah Cave – ancient fossils & adventurous passages

    • Eco Park – large valley viewpoints facing Bangladesh plains

  • Return to Shillong.

​

  • Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 5: Mawlynnong – Dawki – Living Root Bridge Adventure

  • After breakfast, travel to Mawlynnong, Asia’s Cleanest Village. Walk through its bamboo pathways, colorful gardens, and traditional Khasi stilt houses.

​

  • Visit the natural wonder Living Root Bridge, created from living tree roots over decades.

​

  • Continue to Dawki, famous for the crystal-clear Umngot River. Enjoy a magical transparent boat ride, riverside photography, and the India–Bangladesh border point.

​

  • Return to Shillong.

​

  • Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 6: Shillong → Kaziranga – Orchid Park & Tea Gardens

  • After breakfast, begin your drive to Kaziranga National Park, home to the world’s largest population of the One-Horned Rhinoceros.

​

  • Upon arrival, check into your resort. Visit:

    • Kaziranga Orchid Park – Asia’s largest orchid house with cultural shows, handicrafts & bamboo art.

    • Tea Gardens – scenic estates perfect for relaxation and photography

​

  • Optional: Enjoy an Assamese cultural dance show in the evening.

​

  • Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Day 7: Kaziranga Safari Experience – Wildlife Expedition

  • Start early with an exciting Elephant Safari (subject to availability) for unforgettable close-up views of rhinos, deers, wild buffaloes, elephants, and various bird species.

  • Return for breakfast. Later enjoy an optional Jeep Safari to explore deeper forest zones of Kaziranga.

​

  • Spend the rest of the day relaxing at the resort or visiting nearby tea gardens.

​

  • Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Day 8: Kaziranga → Guwahati – Departure

  • After breakfast, check out and proceed back to Guwahati.

  • Drop at Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey.

​
